A100 medicine statistics
Dear University of Liverpool,
My request is regarding regarding statistics for the A100 medicine course. All requests are for the 2018/2019 cycle. If data for the 2018/2019 cycle is not possible, I would like it for the 2017/2018 cycle. Many thanks.
Please can I have the following anonymised data about the candidates who applied:
1. For each applicant, can I know their A-level predicted grades, GCSE grades, UKCAT score, BMAT score, whether they were successful in getting an interview and whether they were successful in getting a place?
2. For each applicant, can I also know whether they were home or international (if so whether they were an EU citizen)
3. Please can I know what type of school the applicant went to (independent, maintained, grammar, academy or boarding)?
4. Please could I have a breakdown of their UKCAT and BMAT scores by section
5. How their PS and interview performance was graded or scored
6. Whether they were on a gap year or taking a deferred place
Please can I have all this data in an Excel or at least machine-readable format.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Forgan

Although the University does hold the information requested for Q1, Q2, Q3
and Q6, it will not supply it to you because this information is exempt
under Section 40 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information Act
and is therefore being withheld. We are unable to provide the data
requested "for each applicant" as this would relate to an individual (even
if anonymised). We believe this information is exempt, as disclosure would
not comply with the principles set out in the Data Protection Act 2018.
Providing it could enable the individuals involved to be identified,
either now or in the future, and these individuals would have a reasonable
expectation that their information will not be disclosed.
We can advise that this data should be available for all UK institutions
via UCAS. Their EXACT service could provide anonymised figures and should
be publicly available in an anonymised form. Details can be accessed via
their publication scheme via
https://www.ucas.com/about-us/policies/f....
Q4. Please could I have a breakdown of their UKCAT and BMAT scores by
section?
The University does not hold data which would allow us to answer this
question.
Q5. How their PS and interview performance was graded or scored
