We're waiting for Michael Scott to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear St John’s College, Cambridge,

Under terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, would you be so

1. The average Science UMS (SUMS) of the applicant to 3 significant
figures
-in the case where UMS scores weren't declared on the SAQ, please
leave this field blank
2. The BMAT scores for each of the three sections
3. Whether or not the applicant was called for an interview (y/n)
4. The interview scores (1-10)
5. The overall score (1-10)
6. Whether an offer was made (y/n)
7. Whether the applicant was pooled (y/n)

May I suggest the data to be grouped in a single table, with one
row per applicant and columns containing the data from Q1-8.

If any part of this request requires further clarification, do not
hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully,
M. Scott

Freedom of Information Officer, St John's College, Cambridge

Dear Mr Scott

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request concerning A100 medicine
applicants.

To comply with your precise request would require the processing of the
personal data of individual applicants for a purpose other than that for
which it was obtained and would therefore conflict with the Data
Protection Principles. However, the following information is supplied
which we hope will prove useful.

1.      UMS marks are no longer available for candidates taking reformed A
levels and no applications this
year provided average Science UMS marks.
2.      The range of BMAT scores of successful applicants for Section 1:
3.7 to 6.7, Section 2: 3.8 to 7.2,
Section 3: 2.5 to 5.0
3.      The range of BMAT scores of candidates placed in the Winter Pool
for Section 1: 3.1 to 7,
Section 2: 2.3 to 7.7, Section 3: 3.0 to 5
4.      The range of BMAT scores for all applicants invited for interview
ranged from Section 1: 2.6 to 7,
Section 2: 2.3 to 7.7, Section 3: 2 to 5
5.      The interview scores of successful applicants ranged from 6.5 to 9
6.      The overall score for successful applicants ranged from 7.3 to 9
7.      We made 17 offers, placed 21 candidates in the Winter Pool, or
which 3 were made offers by
another College, or an Open offer.

If you are dissatisfied with my response you may seek an internal review
in writing setting out the grounds for review. It will be dealt with by a
College Officer. Should you not be satisfied with the outcome of the
review, you will have a right of appeal to the Information Commissioner by
writing to him at Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely
