A100 information

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear University College London,

I am writing to ask about the A100 course.

For the 2013/2014 cycle:
How many people were offered a place on the A100 course

How many deferred offers were made for this cycle

How many offers were made to home and international students in this cycle

How many people chose UCL as their firm and insurance choice for the A100 course for this cycle

How many students were admitted to UCL for medicine in this cycle.

How many international and home students were admitted in this cycle .

For the 2013/2014 cycle how many students who missed their medicine offer were ultimately admitted to UCL medical school.

If some students who did miss their offers but were admitted to UCL, what factors were involved in deciding to admit them e.g. Interview performance or BMAT score.

For the 2014/2015 cycle

How many medicine offers have been made.

How many people chose UCL as their firm and insurance choice for medicine in this cycle

How many deferred offers have their been handed out in the 2014/2015 cycle

How many offers were made to home and international students in this cycle

How many places available are there on the A100 course for this cycle.

How many of these places are for internationals and home students.

Considering the offer for medicine has been increased to A*AA, does the medical school envisage admitting people who missed their offer?

Yours faithfully,
Sam Worthington

Dear Alex,

I cannot access the email address link you provided hence I am writing to you on this platform.

I think there has been some confusion with my earlier request. I wanted information for the 2014 entry and 2015 entry, however the information provided was for the 2013 and 2014 entry, I apologise for the confusion I have caused due to the lack of clarity in my initial request.

Hence I ask you, if you hold the information, the following details for 2015 entry:

How many medicine offers have been made for 2015 entry.

How many people chose UCL as their firm and insurance choice for
medicine in this cycle (2015 entry)

How many deferred offers have their been handed out in this cycle (2015 entry)

How many offers were made to home and international students in
this cycle (2015 entry)

How many places available are there on the A100 course for this
cycle. (2015 entry)

How many of these places are for internationals and home students.

Considering the offer for medicine has been increased to A*AA for 2015 entry, does
the medical school envisage admitting people who missed their
offer?

In addition to this I was wondering whether you are able me to provide me the number/% of students admitted in 2014 (entry) who had achieved at least one A* at A-Level.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

If you require more information please let me know.

Yours sincerely,

Sam Worthington

Dear Sam,

Further to my earlier email, the information for 2015 entry is now
available. Please find the response to each of your questions below:

How many medicine offers have been made for 2015 entry.

453 offers have been made for 2015 entry.

How many people chose UCL as their firm and insurance choice for  medicine
in this cycle (2015 entry)

324 chose UCL as Firm and 53 as Insurance.

How many deferred offers have there been handed out in this cycle (2015
entry)

I presume you mean deferred entry in 2016? If so, 54 offers.

How many offers were made to home and international students in  this
cycle (2015 entry)

414 offers to UK/EU and 39 to overseas applicants.

How many places available are there on the A100 course for this  cycle.
(2015 entry)

322

How many of these places are for internationals and home students.

298 for UK/EU and 24 for overseas.

Considering the offer for medicine has been increased to A*AA for 2015
entry, does  the medical school envisage admitting people who missed
their  offer?

This information is not yet available but the department considers it
highly unlikely.

In addition to this I was wondering whether you are able me to provide me
the number/% of students admitted in 2014 (entry) who had achieved at
least one A* at A-Level.

Of those applying on the basis of A-levels, 82% had at least one A* grade
at A-level.

Regards,
