A100 applications by domicile

The request was partially successful.

Dear University of Edinburgh,

Medical places and admissions by country of domicile for A100 for
2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013 and 2013/2014.

How many places in each cycle were allocated to each of Scotland/EU
SFC-funded, RUK and non-EU applicants?

How many applicants were there in each cycle from each of Scotland,
EU (excluding RUK), RUK and non-EU?

How many applicants in each cycle were offered places from each of Scotland, EU (excluding RUK), RUK and non-EU? What was the lowest selectors score (out of 37 for all years up to 2012/13 and out of 40 for 2013/14) for each classification of applicant (Scotland, EU -excluding RUK, RUK and non-EU) in each cycle of applicant who was offered a place?

What was the highest selectors score ( out of 37 for all years up to 2012/13 and out of 40 for 2013/14) for each classification of applicant (Scotland, EU - excluding RUK, RUK and non-EU) in each cycle of applicant who was not offered a place? In the event of a tie in scores, what factor was used to determine offer/no offer?

In each cycle, How many applicants from a widening access programme applied from Scotland/EU? How many of these applicants were offered a place? How many of these applicants would not have achieved an offer (would have scored less than than the lowest score for offer) if they had not gained extra points from this during the selection process?

For widening access programme applicants - are any checks of the applicants postcodes carried out to ensure that they should qualify or is the school attended sufficient?

Yours faithfully,

Mr Dempster

Dear University of Edinburgh,

In addition to my request, please provide details of the proportion of widening access applicants who scored top third for Personal Statement/reference and the proportion of non-widening access applicants who scored top third for Personal Statement/reference.
Yours faithfully,

Mr Dempster
