Dear Queen Mary University of London,

I was wondering if you could please help me with my request,

In regards to your A100 undergraduate-entry Medicine course I would like to know:

For UK/EU applicants applying for -2020- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances (including deferrals who will start in 2021)
The average UCAT of those given an Interview.
The median UCAT of those given an Interview
The lowest UCAT of those given an interview
The lowest GCSE combined score for those invited to interview
How many offers for A100 medicine course for 2020 entry were sent out to UK applicants?
How many offers for A100 medicine course for 2021 (deferred) entry were sent out to UK applicants?

For international (for fee-paying purposes) applicants for -2020- entry:
The number of applications
The number of applicants who were invited to interview
The number of offers made
The number of final acceptances (including deferrals who will start in 2021)
The average UCAT of those given an Interview
The median UCAT of those given an interview
The lowest UCAT of those given an interview

If places become available, how will places for 2020 entry be allocated to those who have chosen 2021 entry Medicine at QMUL as their firm choice?

How will the UCAT be weighted and the admissions process be conducted for 2021 entry.
Will interviews be online?
Will the UCAT threshold decrease if the global interim and average decreases?

Yours faithfully,

Adam Azim

Dear Adam Azim,

Thank you for your email of 14th September.

Most of the information you seek can be found on the attached. The median
UCAT scores of those applicants given an interview were 2670 (Home/EU) and
2810 (International).

Regarding the following parts, we have provided answers in bold.

If places become available, how will places for 2020 entry be allocated to
those who have chosen 2021 entry Medicine at QMUL as their firm choice?

* The process will be the same: those meeting our entry requirements
will offered a place.

How will the UCAT be weighted and the admissions process be conducted for
2021 entry.

* Same as previous years.

Will interviews be online?

* Yes, as at the date of your request, that is our plan.

Will the UCAT threshold decrease if the global interim and average
decreases?

* No, we will still go for the third decile minimum score.

If you are dissatisfied with this response, you may ask QMUL to conduct a
review of this decision.  To do this, please contact the College in
writing (including by fax, letter or email), describe the original
request, explain your grounds for dissatisfaction, and include an address
for correspondence.  You have 40 working days from receipt of this
communication to submit a review request.  When the review process has
been completed, if you are still dissatisfied, you may ask the Information
Commissioner to intervene. Please see [1]www.ico.org.uk for details.

Yours sincerely
