RE:

Dear

Please find our response with regards to comments received from Carlisle City Council.

Condition 13 reversing alarms - the Applicant wil  comply with the Construction Hours of Operation stated in
Condition 24.

In response to comment item 38 Air Quality - the Applicant accepts the principle of an additional NO2 monitoring
location to be included in the Air Quality monitoring programme, and this wil  be located within the Crindledyke
residential area. We assume the area of new residential housing development to be to the south east of Low
Crindledyke as highlighted in yel ow in the snip below? â€“ this is taken from figure 3 of the proposed air quality
monitoring protocol.

The Applicant would agree to additional air quality monitoring subject to the location being agreed between Carlisle
City Council and the Applicant. We recommend that the monitoring location in Crindledyke be placed where the
housing estate is already built out and occupied.
Further dialogue is required to understand whether the offer by Carlisle City Council to undertake the monitoring on
behalf of the Applicant is for the additional monitoring location only or whether it includes al  four AQ monitoring
locations including the proposed location for monitoring oxides of nitrogen at the Solway Firth SAC.  I suggest that
the detail of this is discussed directly with Carlisle CC to agree these matters.

The Applicant would therefore welcome further discussion between
 and the Applicant’s Air Quality
consultant Fichtner.

Dear

Please find attached comments received from Carlisle City Council Environmental Health Department, Ive tried to
pin them down to a location at Crindledyke, so I wil  assume if you can use the nearest point that would be
appropriate.  If you can advise that would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
