Dear Mr Jones
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FoIA) REQUEST
I write further to our email of 16 August.
Before we are able to respond, I would like some clarification of the
information you have requested. We do not have a specific recruitment
policy but a series of staff guidance documents covering all aspects of
the recruitment process. These will include identification of a vacancy,
applicant guides, managerial guides in conducting sifts, interviews,
actions after interviews, appeals procedures, guaranteed interviews,
disability discrimination adjustments and assessment centre guidance.
Please clarify if there is a specific part of the recruitment process that
you require information for.
You have also asked for documents in relation to job candidates with
disabilities. Can you confirm whether you require central policy or
whether you wish us to search all records held on previous vacancies for
this information? You should note that if you require the later, this may
exceed the appropriate cost of compliance limit as set out at section 12
of FoIA.
Please note that without clarification of your requirements we will be
unable to process your request. If you do not respond within three months
from the date of this letter, then we will consider your request closed.
If you wish to discuss your request further then please contact us on the
details above. Please remember to quote your case reference number in any
future communications.
Yours sincerely

Dear [email address],
Thank you for your reply.
To assist you I am looking for guidance given to interviewers when interviewing candidates with disabilities and in particular the questioning of those candidates about their disability and it's origin.
I am also interested the general guidance given to all staff in relation to conducting an interview.
Yours sincerely,
Peter Jones
