Thank you for your request for information, which we received on 06 August 2021.                     
This information is being provided as a statutory obligation under the Freedom of Information 
Act 2000. 
 
Your request 
Can you please provide me with up-to-date information for the following questions: 
1.  How many teams are there are in Southwark's Adult Social Work Service? Also, what 
are the teams’ names? For example, Mental Health Team, Learning Disabilities Team 
etc. 
2.  How many Locum workers are working for the authority in adult social work? 
3.  How many recruitment companies does Southwark have on their preferred supplier list 
to find Social Workers? What are the companies names? 
4.  The full directory list of Senior Management, Service Managers and Team Managers in 
adult social work teams. 
 
Our response 

1.  Under section 21 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to 
a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you. The Council publishes its 
structure chart on our website and this can be accessed via the link below.

3.  The council has a single agreement with Comensura for the supply of agency workers 
who are engaged on a vendor neutral basis.  The latter means that the council does 
not have a direct relationship with employment businesses/ agencies nor does it hold a 
list of those supplying.   
 
4.  Information on some Council officers, such as those in senior positions, wil  be 
published ad-hoc on our website and can be accessed by searching their job title. The 
Council does not publish details of all staff, as information on junior officers is 
considered personal data. Information on post holders whose details have not already 
been published has been withheld pursuant to section 40 of the Freedom of 
Information Act. Section 40 is an absolute exemption and doesn’t require consideration 
of the public interest test.
