Thank you for your email requesting information under the provisions of
the Freedom of Information Act. For ease of reference, I have set out your
request below, followed by our response.
 
Could you please provide your current working timetable which shows how
many trams are working?
 
On the day that your request was received, trams were operating at a
frequency of up to every ten minutes Monday to Saturday and up to every 15
minutes on Sundays.
 
I have attached a copy of the control room timetable which provides an
example of each of these frequencies. To operate this timetable, there is
a maximum of ten trams in service at any one time.
 
To ensure that the information that I have provided is accurate, I have
also attached the current timetable which has been in operation since
Monday 24 July. Trams are operating up to every 7 minutes Monday to
Friday, every 8 minutes on Saturdays and 10 minutes on Sundays between
Wolverhampton St George’s and Bull Street only, until October while work
is carried out to tie-in the existing track to the Birmingham Eastside
Extension. There is also track replacement work taking place on
Corporation Street at the same time.
 
I trust that I have provided the information that you have requested in a
suitable format. However, if you are dissatisfied with the way in which we
have handled your request, you have the right to ask us to review it. You
should make your request for a review within 40 working days of receipt of
this letter, and we will provide our review within 20 working days of
receipt.
 
If, following review, you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your
request you have the right under section 50 of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision.
