Thank you for your email of 20 April in which you ask for access to the following under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (‘FoI Act’):
‘Have you used the furlough scheme?
If so can you tell me.
1. How many staff were furloughed per month?
2. Did you top up their salaries?
3. How many staff on more than £50K were furloughed’
We can confirm that the Bank of England (the ‘Bank’) has not used the furlough scheme. Therefore, no
information is held with regards to questions 1, 2 and 3 above.
