Dear Natalia,
Re: Request for Information – Freedom of Information Act 2000
I wish to confirm that the Adult and Communities Directorate has now completed
its search for the information which you requested by e-mail on 12 March 2021.
Your questions and my findings are below:-
I am looking for information as to the authorities prediction of the number
of required placements over next 12 months, for adults with LD, and ASD in
the following service types:
* Supported Living
* Residential Care
Unfortunately at this time we do not hold the information you are seeking. We are
currently refreshing our market position statement and this will be published on
the councils website once completed (in the spring 2021). Additionally, we are
working with South Yorkshire colleagues to develop a specialist market position
statement which will cover the adult groups you refer too, we are hoping this will
be available by the autumn 2021.
However, to give an indication of future demand I can confirm that during 2020/21
there were 155 people with a learning disability/ autism in supported living and 98
people in residential care. During the last 12 months, new support was put in
place for 11 people in supported living and 12 people in residential care.
