Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request â€“ 210311005 - FOI 
 
Thank you for your request, received on 11 March 2021, in which you asked for the following 
information from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ):   
 
1.How many applications made by a trustee(s) for possession and sale of a domestic 
family home were put before HHJ Backhouse from Friday 31 August 2018 - Monday 4 
September 2018 (only on these two days). 
 
2.What were the dates of these applications and on what dates were they received by 
the county court at Maidstone. 
 
3.How many orders were made on Friday 31 August 2018 and how many orders were 
made on Monday 4 September 2018 by HHJ Backhouse. 
 
Your request is being handled under the FOIA. 
 
The MoJ is required under section 10(1) of the FOIA to provide you with a response within 
20 working days. Therefore, we aim to provide you a response to your request by 11 March 
2021.  However, in view of the current public health situation, and its possible effect on 
resources and priorities, we may not be able to reply to you by this date; if this will be the 
case, we will write to you nearer the time with an update.
