Thank you for your Freedom of Information request which was received within the Trust. In
accordance with S.1 (1) (a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), I can confirm that
we do hold information relevant to your request.
I would be grateful if you could please provide me with the fol owing information on the
hospital's estates procurement process.
1. How the hospital procures Construction Consultancy Services? In particular M&E
The procurement route is dependent on the value and urgency of the requirement. We use a
number of routes: - quotations, mini competitions against frameworks, direct award against
frameworks, or ful open tenders.
2. If by your own framework, please advise:
The Trust does not have an internal framework.
a. The titles and content of the relevant frameworks N/A.
b. The start and end dates of the frameworks N/A.
c. Any possible extension periods to the frameworks N/A.
d. The companies appointed under the current frameworks (in relation to m&e Consultancy
3. If there is no framework in place how does the hospital typical y procure m&e
consultancies under and over OJEU value thresholds and if not a Trust procured framework
which frameworks do you typically use?

Please refer to question one’s response. Any procurement over £25,000 that is not covered
by a framework would be advertised on Contracts Finder and the tender run on Delta E-
Sourcing online portal. The Trust uses any framework that has been awarded for the use of
the NHS or public bodies, and relevant for the region we are situated in. Recently, the Trust
has used that of the Crown Commercial Services and Shared Business Services.
