Thank you for your request for information relating to suicides due to forced adoptions. 
 
You have requested the following information:  
 
1 How many parents have died within 5 years of losing their children to forced 
adoption? 
 
2. Can you please provide a breakdown of deaths? i.e. suicide, murder, accident, 
illness etc. 
 
3. How many adoptions were voluntary and how many were classed as forced 
adoptions? 
 
4. How and when are the children informed of their real parents deaths?
 
 
We can confirm that we do not hold this information and are advising you as per Section 
1(1) of the Act. The Council does not record this information.
