Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) 2000 relating to secondary schools in the CT5 area. Please see the response
provided below and the attached information/spreadsheet in answer to your request.
(a) Which secondary school did parents in the CT5 postcode choose as their first
choice school for start September 2020. If this could be broken down into
numbers for individual schools please.
The table below shows the number of 1st preferences named for schools by children
living in the CT5 post code area in the 2020 secondary admissions process. Where the
number of 1st preferences for an individual school are equal to or less than 5 they have
been combined into an ‘Other schools’ group to reduce the risk of an individual being
able to identify their own data which would constitute a breach of the Data Protection
Act 2018. Therefore, this information is exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of
the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on the grounds that it is personal information.
