Dear Requester 
Request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) 
The council has considered your request which was received on 9 May 2020 and our 
response to your questions is shown below. 
I would like to know how much each school in the authority (Primary, 
Secondary, SEND etc) spent on third party supply agencies between 1st 
September 2019 and 1st May 2020. 
It this could be broken down per school and how much that school spent with 
each third party agency that would be helpful. Otherwise, just a total per school 
spent on supply teacher and teaching assistants. 

In accordance with section 1(1) of the Act the council has a duty to confirm whether it 
holds the information of the description specified in the request, and if that is the case, 
to have the information communicated to the requester. 
Please see the attached spreadsheet showing the spend per school split between 
Teaching and Non-teaching (Non-teaching includes Teaching assistants, Office staff 
and Middays). The information provided is for maintained schools only. Unfortunately 
the council are unable to split the spend by teaching assistants or agency. The 
council also does not hold this information for academies. Therefore in accordance 
with section 1(1) some of the requested information is not held by the council. 
In accordance with section 16(1) of the Act, the council has a duty to provide advice 
and assistance to you, so far as it is reasonable to do so. All schools are subject to 
the Freedom of Information Act, a full list of secondary schools in Nottingham City can
