Release of Information  
 
Thank you for your correspondence of 21 April 2020 in which you requested the following 
information: 
 
 
‘Can you please give the numbers of Royal Navy and Royal Marine Officers and 
 
Senior Rates that are employed with Duties to the Sea Cadet Corps. Could you also 
 
please list the post which they occupy.’ 
 
Your enquiry has been considered to be a request for information in accordance with the 
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act).  
 
A search for the information has now been completed within the Ministry of Defence and I 
can confirm that information in scope of your request is held which can be found detailed at 
Annex A to this letter. 
 
Under section 16 (Advice and Assistance) of the Act, it is important to explain that the Royal 
Navy (RN) and Royal Marine (RM) personnel listed within the Annex are not employed by 
the Marine Society Sea Cadets (MSSC) but are instead assigned to the MSSC.   The 
military personnel provided to the MSSC will remain for all purpose’s members of HM 
Armed Forces.
