Thank you for your request for information relating to Enforcement of the Scrap Metal 
Dealers Act 2013 
 
Your request and our responses are outlined below: 
 
1. How many visits have your Local Authority Officers made to licensed Scrap 
Metal Dealers in order to enforce the provisions of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 
2013 since October 2018? 
 
We can confirm that 9 visits have been made.  
 
2. How many closure orders have been issued or enforcement actions undertaken 
by yourselves against scrap metal dealers, both mobile and site-based, since 
October 2018? 
 
We can confirm that 0 closure orders have been issued or enforcement actions 
undertaken by ourselves since 2018. 
 
The supply of information in response to a freedom of information request does not
