Dear Ms Ahrens

Freedom of Information Act 2000

1. the current draft Equality Impact Assessment for local commissioning
of VAWG services

The Council will not disclose this information at this time. Section 22 of the
Freedom of Information provides an exemption for information that is intended
to be published in the future. The information will be released when the
commission is launched at the end of March. Section 22 is a qualified
exemption which means that the Council is required to consider whether the
public interest in maintaining the exemption is greater than the public interest in
disclosing the requested information. The Council has considered the public
interest in openness and transparency but has concluded that, given the
proximity of the publication and that releasing the information prior to this date
would compromise the planned open tender process, the public interest is in
maintaining the exemption.

2. a list of the stakeholders consulted in the process of developing the
Equality Impact Assessment

The Council will release this information at the end of March and therefore
applies section 22 of the FOIA in this instance for the same reasons as set out
in 1. above.
3. the evidence used to inform the Equality Impact Assessment

The Council will release detailed information at the end of March and therefore
applies section 22 of the FOIA for the same reasons as set out in 1. above.

4. the report produced by AVA (Against Violence and Abuse), which is
mentioned in the October 2018 committee report
We attach a copy of the report with the FOI response- the report was shared
with stakeholders in 2019.
5. the current intended timescale for recommissioning VAWG services
and the dates on which further reports will be presented to council
committees.

The recommissioning of Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse Support
Services will commence at the end of March 2020 when the commission is
launched and tenders are invited from this point. Contracts for successful
bidders will commence on the 1 st October 2020. A report will be presented to
committee at the end of the year providing information about the Commission,
and the Pan-Sussex Strategy for Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse.
