FOI REQUEST – Adult eating disorder waiting times

The request was successful.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my enquiry as specifically as possible. If however this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you would contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters.

I am looking for information about waiting times for adult eating disorders treatment.

As such, I would really appreciate answers to the following questions:

1. What is the Trust’s target waiting time for adults who are urgently referred to eating disorder services to start treatment?

2. What is the Trust’s target waiting time for adults who are routinely (i.e. non-urgently) referred to eating disorder services to start treatment?

3. How many adults were urgently referred to the Trust’s eating disorder services in 2018/19?

4. How many adults were routinely (i.e. non-urgently) referred to the Trust’s eating disorder services in 2018/19?

5. What was the average waiting time to start treatment for adults urgently referred to the Trust's eating disorder services in 2018/19?

6. What was the average waiting time to start treatment for adults routinely (i.e. non-urgently) referred to the Trust's eating disorder services in 2018/19?

7. How many adults urgently referred to the Trust’s eating disorder services are currently waiting to start treatment?

8. How many adults routinely (i.e. non-urgently) referred to the Trust’s eating disorder services are currently waiting to start treatment?

I understand that under the Act, I should be entitled to a response within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you would confirm in writing that you have received this request.

I would really appreciate your help with this request – I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Ramzy Alwakeel

Dear Mr Alwakeel

Thank you for your request for information from Airedale NHS Foundation
Trust which was received on 20^th January 2020.  Your request has been
given the Reference Number ANHSFT REF  4681.

We will now proceed to process the request.  The deadline date for issuing
you with a full response is   17^th February 2020.   We will try to
respond to you before this date and we will contact you if we envisage
delays or if we need more information from you.

Please note that under the Freedom of Information Act, some information
can be subject to exemptions, which means that the Trust does not have to
provide the information requested.  Some exemptions are “absolute” such as
personal information and some only apply where the “public interest” in
maintaining the exemption, outweighs that of providing the information.

In some cases, where identifying, retrieving and processing the requested
information requires more time than the “appropriate cost limit” of two
and half days work, we may refuse the request or we can charge a fee.  If
the latter is the case, I will let you know and a Fees Notice will be
issued to you.  In that case you would need to pay the fee before we
proceeded with your request,  but we will offer assistance and advise you
if, by modifying your request, we could provide you with some non-exempt
or free of charge information.

Please contact me, quoting the Reference Number above, with any questions
you might have about your request.

With kind regards
