London Area Travel Survey data on the use of London's rail network by different genders

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Transport,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I am interested in the data collected from the London Area Travel Survey for 2001. I am investigating the difference in travel patterns between men and women in the London area so these survey results would be very useful for my research.

Information on the origin and destination of journeys, stations used, ticket type, reason for travel, sex and age would all be needed for my research to be carried out fully.

I would be interested in any information held by your organisation regarding my request. I would like to receive the information in electronic format if possible, or hard copy if necessary.

If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the Act. I will also expect you to release all non-exempt material. I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to charge excessive fees.

Please confirm in writing that you have received this request. I look forward to your response within 20 working days, as outlined by the statute.

Yours faithfully,

Gloria Bunce
