Dear Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust,

Can you provide the following information about doctors internal grievance, MHPS and any other disciplinary procedures and presentation of Trusts case by Capsticks or Barristers.

1. Are doctors entitled to be represented by Trade Union, colleagues, family, friends during an internal hearing for MHPS or grievance?
2. Do Capsticks support or present the case for the Trust / case manager for MHPS or grievance hearing during the internal hearing process for doctors?
3. How many cases of internal MHPS or grievance hearings of doctors were presented by barristers or Capsticks on behalf of the Trust over the last 6 years?
4. How much has the Trust spent on legal fees for internal hearings (for doctors disciplinary or grievance process) over the last 6 years?
5. Who would commission Capsticks and / or Barristers to present the Trust case during an internal hearing for doctors disciplinary procedure?
6. Who is your financial director? Is your financial director aware of above spend, i.e. of Trust hiring Capsticks and Barristers to present managements case during internal hearings of doctors grievance and/or MHPS hearings?
7. Please could you provide a copy of your Trust disciplinary policy.
