Dear Amelia Brown

We can confirm that the information requested is held by Birmingham City
Council.
Request
May I have a copy of your latest annual strategic assessment of crime and
disorder for Birmingham please.

Response
The strategic assessment for crime and disorder is produced by the
Birmingham Community Safety Partnership (BCSP) on an annual basis.  The
BCSP is a multi-agency partnership consisting of statutory partners such as
West Midlands Police; Birmingham City Council; West Midlands Fire Service;
Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group; National Probation
Service and Community Rehabilitation Company, and Birmingham Childrens
Trust.
Its role is to enable partners at a strategic and operational level to understand
how they should work together to address crime and disorder, and deliver
services and activities to achieve this – this is part of all partners responsibilities
under Crime and Disorder Act 1997.  These services may be Birmingham wide
to just in one street. The BCSP is hosted by Birmingham City Council, which
means we are the secretariat for the partnership.
Please also see the attached document.
