Emergency Plan

The request was successful.

Dear Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council,

I would like to make a request for a copy of your generic emergency plan that covers your response in the event of unplanned hazards such as flooding or a pandemic. I am a research student working on the ARISE Database which is an initiative from the Catalyst Project at the University of Essex, it is my role to gather documents such as these on a subnational level for the UK. ARISE is a resilience planning database being developed that eventually aims to hold emergency plans for every town, city and county worldwide in order to create a resilience policy index to help inform disaster management policy makers and practitioners and improve measures of resilience. More information can be found here: https://www.essex.ac.uk/research-project....

The type of document I am looking for is also often called a 'Major Incident Plan', 'Emergency Response Plan' or 'Contingency Plan'. It does not need to hold any sensitive information such as specific names and details as this is of no use to us and it can be redacted. Many councils have public copies of their emergency plan available on their website however I am unable to find it on yours and was just wondering if you would be able to help with this? If possible I would prefer to receive a copy in word or pdf format.

Yours faithfully,

Amber Scott
