I would be grateful if you would provide me with the following information in relation to Shadwell Lane, Moortown, and in particular the section between Sandringham Approach and Lady Park Court:

◦Dates of all safety inspections undertaken on the carriageway in the last 2 years

◦Details of all carriageway defects identified during safety inspections in last 2 years

◦Details of how carriageway safety inspections are undertaken, including whether walked or driven, the speed of the inspection vehicle and the number of persons in the vehicle.

◦The intended frequency of carriageway safety inspections.

◦Details of all complaints and/or enquiries relating to the carriageway, received in the last 2 years

◦The hierarchy classification.

◦The road/section number.

◦The defect intervention criteria adopted in relation to the identification of all categories of carriageway potholes

◦The time period(s) adopted between identification and repair (temporary and permanent) of all categories of carriageway defects.

◦Whether or not the authority has formally adopted all or part of the standards contained within the national code of practice for highways maintenance management.

I write in response to your Freedom of Information request, received in
this office on 17th January 2010. I am pleased to provide the information
you have requested in the files attached (please see the highlighted
sections of your original email for further information). Please note, due
to the size of the attachments, I am forced to send your response

There are two types of survey conducted - a walked survey carried out
annually, and a driven survey carried out quarterly.

The results of the walked survey can be found in the file `FOI Inspections

The results of the driven inspection can be found in the documents titled
`QD NE3 yyyy-mm-dd.pdf'. The driven survey is carried out by two officers
in a van driven at a speed of 20 mph. The route followed can be found in
