Dear BARTSHEALTH, Foi (BARTS HEALTH NHS TRUST),

I am very surprised that adverse reactions to tPA such as bleeds are not monitored.

Whilst taking into account your points regarding new bleeds/same diagnosis, and that records cannot be pulled from your current data, it seems illogical to imply that such records could not be kept or are not important.

It is worrying that hospital trusts such as yours are not interested enough to track instances where tPA has resulted in a bleed or has worsened a patient's condition. It is well-known that tPA, if administered incorrectly, results in a very nasty and painful experience for the patient and can cause death. Why would any hospital not want to keep records to ensure that the drug is being administered correctly?
