I'd like to clarify some of the terms used in the provided information.

Please explain what is meant by the following terms;-

Under the heading "Sewage Usage" please explain the terms "treated effluent" and "Combined Sewer Outflow"

Please explain the heading "Legal Status" and the terms under that heading "Public", "Emergency Overflow", "Disposal Main", "Overflow Pipe (OV)",

I also note that the names on the map kindly provided are unreadable. Are you able to provide the map in a better, higher resolution?

Dear Shaun,

Please accept my apologies for delay in responding.

I have contacted relevant team in Scottish Water and received updated list and map in better resolution, please see attached.

All outfalls listed as being in public ownership in the legal status, which means that Scottish Water is responsible for the sewer.

In regards to sewer usage:

CSO - Combined Sewer Overflow - The purpose of the sewer is to operate when excessive amounts of surface water (rain water) are within the sewer network to protect the network from surcharging and potentially causing flooding to properties. The dilute sewerage is screened before it is discharged.

Treated Effluent - The purpose of the sewer is to discharge Final effluent from the Wastewater Treatment works to the appropriate Location.
