State of mental health services in North Wales

North Wales Community Health Council did not have the information requested.

Dear North Wales Community Health Council, I have been very poorly treated by mental health services and I'd really like to know how many people took their own lives in 2016 and how many 2017 and any figures for 2018...I'd like to know what they're doing to address the special measures they were put in and why are we being given a service which is not fit for purpose .why is it good enough. .. people are killing them selves....what's being done in Welsh assembly to tackle funding cuts...why aren't people losing their jobs...who if anyone is fighting fir the people who are not getting help they need..
Unresolved childhood trauma is a huge huge issue that never gets dealt with...if someone then developed a substance addiction there tossed into rehab without addressing the underlying issue...big changes need to be made...or nothing will change...

Having reviewed the questions and the information requested, we are unable to respond, as we are not a health care provider, nor a NHS Trust of Local Health Board and as such are not privy to the type of information you have requested. The NWCHC is an independent statutory body that represents the interests of the patient and the public in the NHS in Wales. We believe that your request should have been made to the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, to which the NWCHC is not affiliated, their address for Freedom of Information requests is: [email address].

The NWCHC does share many of your concerns and as such this was discussed at a joint meeting of the Health Board and the North Wales CHC. The attached correspondence refers.
