Dear Freedom of Information,

Thank you for your reply.

I was referring to “What equality law means for your business” as I know that changes to this guidance have been made following representations from "Fair Play for Women". I was unaware of changes to “Your rights to equality from healthcare and social care services”. Nonetheless I would like to see all documents related to the change including any letters from external bodies requesting changes to the guidance.

In both cases as there have been no legal developments it is essential that these documents are released so the public can understand why changes were made to documents that provide guidance on how services should protect fundamental human rights of minorities. Over the last year there has been an intense debate in the media about the rights of transgender people. Given the clear interest in the matter and the fact that it concerns fundamental human rights, I believe it is in the public interest to release these documents.
