Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
which was received into this office on the 23rd August 2018.
You Asked for:
Does the CCG commission services that provide a specific diagnostic pathway for children
within your CCG for each of the following conditions:
1) Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
2) Autism Spectrum Disorder
3) Developmental Coordination Disorder/Developmental Dyspraxia
4) Developmental Dyscalculia
5) Developmental Dyslexia
6) Specific language impairment/Developmental language disorder
If so, could you provide details for which NHS trust or trusts you commission these services
from?
Our Response:
1) NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) funds the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD) Foundation to support children with ADHD.
2) NHS Wirral CCG funds Autism Together to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
3) NHS Wirral CCG does not fund a specific service for this but cases of a medium-severe
nature are with within the remit of the Children’s and Adolescents Mental Health Service
provided by Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust which is funded by NHS
Wirral CCG.
4) As above.
5) As above.
6) NHS Wirral CCG funds a Speech & Language Service provided by the Wirral Community
NHS Foundation Trust
