Dear Mr Paskiewicz,
Your request was received on 17 August 2018 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’).
You asked:
I would like to request statistics regarding the success rate of English applicants applying to
Cambridge post A Levels between 2014-2018.
Please could you provide 5 tables. One for each application cycle. Table 1 should be for
applicants who applied for 2014 entry. Table 2 for 2015 entry. Table 3 for 2016 entry. Table 4
for 2017 entry. Table 5 for 2018 entry.
I would like the following data for each individual college:
The number of English applicants who applied post A Levels.
The percentage of English applicants who applied post A Levels (The number of post A Level
English applicants divided by the number of English applicants).
The number of post A Level English applicants who received an offer from the College they
applied to.
The percentage of post A Level English applicants who received an offer from the College they
applied to. (The number of successful post A Level English applicants divided by the number of
post A Level English applicants).
Average ELAT score for post A Level English applicants.
Please could you ensure that each row in the table is for an individual College. Could the first
column be the names of each College and then the next 5 columns be the data that I have
requested.
This information is attached. Please note that the attached document should not be copied, reproduced
or used except in accordance with the law of copyright.

in September 2016 to Confirmation in August 2017.
Notes
Applicants are flagged as post-qualified when they have completed three or more A Levels and have no

outstanding A Levels to complete. A Level data is provided by the relevant UK ABL. Where A Level data
is missing, this due to non-UK A Levels being taken by the applicant.
