Further to our acknowledgement letter dated 15th June 2010, please find our Trust’s
response in relation to your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.
Question 1a: How many Older Adult Dementia beds are available within your Trust?
Answer 1a: The Trust has 101 Older Adult Dementia beds available.
Question 1b: What does this equate to in terms of beds/head of relevant/target
population (i.e. over 65)?
Answer 1b: Population covered 108,161.
Question 2: Average length of stay for these beds?
Answer 2: The average length of stay for these beds is 110 days.
Question 3: Occupancy rate for these beds?
Answer 3: Occupancy rate for these beds is 71.07%.
Question 4: Readmission rate for these beds?
Answer 4: Readmission rate for these beds is 8.79%.
