1. Please state the number of employees and number of offices within your organization.
2. Please state the number of printers currently within the organization, including MFD´s & photocopiers.
3. Please state the number of devices that are A3 compatible.
4. What percentage of your fleet is printed in colour vs mono?
5. In terms of usage, what is your monthly page volume?
6. How many users on average per printer?
7. Please state the number of large format devices and your current model.
8. Who are the main manufacturers for the printers (hardware)?
9. Who are the main supplier(s) of print consumables (Toner, spares, etc)?
10. Who is your preferred channel partner, if any?
11. What is the approximate spend on printers and consumables during the last year?
12. What are the start and end dates for the managed print contract in your organization (if applicable to the MFD´s)?
13. Which procurement route or framework was used to procure this service?
14. The named person and their role in your organization is in charge of the procurement for printing and any managed print contracts.

I write further to your e-mail received by the Council on 03.05.18 where
you made a request for information with regards to Printers.

 

The Council’s response to your request is as follows;

1. Please state the number of employees and number of offices within your
organization. 8983 (including casual and school staff)

2. Please state the number of printers currently within the organization,
including MFD´s & photocopiers. 734 Printers and 113 MFDs

3. Please state the number of devices that are A3 compatible. All MFDs are
A3 compatible.

4. What percentage of your fleet is printed in colour vs mono?

Our latest information (based only on our managed fleet – 41 MFDs) is 28%
colour.

5. In terms of usage, what is your monthly page volume?

Our latest information (based only on our managed fleet – 41 MFDs) is
average of 532551 per month.

6. How many users on average per printer? We do not have this information

 

7. Please state the number of large format devices and your current
model.  The MFDs are A3 compatible, we do not currently have any other
large format devices which we are using.

 

8. Who are the main manufacturers for the printers (hardware)?

Konica; Canon; Xerox

9. Who are the main supplier(s) of print consumables (Toner, spares, etc)?

We have a contract with Banner Ltd for IT consumables.

10. Who is your preferred channel partner, if any?
Please clarify what you mean by ‘channel partner’?

11. What is the approximate spend on printers and consumables during the
last year?

We only have spend for ICT/Reprographics Unit (not the whole council)
which was approx £21503.00

12. What are the start and end dates for the managed print contract in
your organization (if applicable to the MFD´s)?

PCounter maintenance runs until June 2018 and can be extended for further
12 month periods.

13. Which procurement route or framework was used to procure this service?

the procurement for printing and any managed print contracts.
