Course materials and any other teaching aids for the MA in Social Media

The request was successful.

Milo Yiannopoulos

Dear Birmingham City University,

I would like to be supplied with copies of all teaching materials for the MA Social Media course you offer. This would include any lecture booklets detailing lecture titles and subjects, reading lists, support documents, course texts where available, marking criteria, PowerPoint presentations and so on.

I would also like copies of the correspondence and the committee meetings that led to the validation of this course as appropriate for postgraduate study.

When considering whether and how to fulfil my request, I ask that you refer to the Information Commissioner's judgment of 30 March 2009 in the case between the University of Central Lancashire and Dr David Colquhoun. You can read that decision here: http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/d...

You may also wish to read Dr Colquhoun's blog post on the subject: http://www.dcscience.net/?p=1364

Dr Colquhoun's blog details the various rulings at his tribunal. No
doubt you will be familiar with all this already.

Yours faithfully,

Milo Yiannopoulos

Milo Yiannopoulos

Dear Stephen,

Thank you for sending some of the information requested. As you probably realise the attachments you have sent do not satisfy my FoI request in its entirety.

I would be grateful to know when and if you plan to forward the rest of the documents I have asked for: for example, the teaching aids (inc. PowerPoint slides), marking criteria and the minutes from the committee meeting (along with any supporting documentation) that deemed this programme to be appropriate for postgraduate study.

There seems to me to be a great deal missing from what you have sent.

Yours sincerely,

Milo Yiannopoulos

Dear Milo

Apologies for the further delay to my response. Due to an oversight on my part certain documents were missed from my earlier reply, namely further documents relating to teaching aids, marking criteria and committee meeting papers relevant to the validation of the MA Media course. Please find these documents attached.

I hope that the above satisfactorily addresses your query.

Kind regards

Stephen
