its subsidiaries to provide you with a response in accordance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

information about accident statistics involving TfL buses and cyclists.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can
confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:

 

“Serious and Slight accidents involving TfL buses and cyclist over the
last five years, sorted by year please. Or the last five years of data
that is held.”

 

Accidents involving TfL buses are recorded by the Police in the combined
category bus and coach, this is defined by the Department of Transports
STATS20 guide Instructions for the Completion of Road Accident Reports.
Our personal injury database is therefore unable to provide these numbers.

 

Please see a table below showing serious and slight collisions involving a
bus or coach and a pedal cycle.  Note that the cyclist may not have been
injured. The data is for the last five years to the end of November 2016. 
All the 2016 numbers are provisional and are subject to change.
