Safety Checks Following the Grenfell Tower fire - Responses from Councils and Social Housing Providers

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Communities and Local Government,

On the 18th of June a letter from the DCLG* asked all local authorities and registered providers of social housing to complete a "New Build and Refurbished Building Information Check List" and submit at least parts of it to the DCLG by the 19th of June.

I am requesting the release of the information submitted so far to the DCLG in response to this letter.

"There are concerns that the names and addresses of tall buildings in residential use could be used by those with malicious intent to attack or otherwise compromise the safety of these buildings and their residents.I have decided, on balance, that it is not in the public interest to disclose this information at this time"
