This is an HTML version of an attachment to the Freedom of Information request 'IT Strategy'.

Dear William Olde
Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request Log No. 801273
Thank you for your request for information which has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

a) the latest copy of your IT Strategy / Strategies, including any
"e" or web strategies.

This document is currently under review. The new 2010 version will be available late August / early September.

b) the names of any applications that you have purchased to manage
your HR, Purchase to Pay, Finance, CRM, time sheet (including
flexible working time) and IT Service Desk and/or Help Desk data.

As I am sure you are aware Cheshire East Council was only established on 1 April 2009 as part of a radical re-organisation of Local Government in Cheshire. As the new authority has only been in existence for a short time we are going through a period of transition which has meant that data from the legacy authorities which have been amalgamated under re-organisation is still being centralised. All contracts are part of this ongoing process and we are currently identifying ownership for Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, or the ICT Shared Services who manage operational aspects of ICT for both Cheshire West and Cheshire and Cheshire East.

In light of this background information, I can offer the following information:
Oracle is the core business system which both Cheshire East Council and Cheshire West & Chester Council use for HR, Purchase to Pay and Finance.
Sunrise Sostenuto is the system going forward for IT Service Desk / Helpdesk
Civica is the provider for CRM Solutions – this is a legacy contract.
c) the date and the initial capital and other costs for the initial
implementation of these applications.
d) the names of the organisations that you have entered into a
contract with to: firstly, supply these systems and secondly,
perform annual support.
e) the values of any annual support costs that are payable in
relation to these systems, broken down by system and organization
the fee is payable to.
f) the expiration date of the contracts for each of these
applications.

Please reply for your organization and any other organization(s)
that you have responsibility for.

Contract information including legacy info is included in the following spreadsheets:
