Dear Martin Williams

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request received on 10 July 2017.
You asked

Many thanks for your partial reply to my FOI request. It would be helpful if you
could also provide:

1. For the same months in the UC live service - the numbers of mandatory
reconsideration requests recorded as having been received.

2. Any equivalent or similar information to that provided in your response thus
far for the universal credit full service caseload

DWP Response:

In response to your first question on the numbers of mandatory
reconsideration requests received in the UC live service, I can confirm that the
most consistent and robust data set we have for Live Service is that provided
in our response of 4 July, i.e. the number of mandatory reconsiderations
completed based on the date the decision was made.  The process for
recording mandatory reconsiderations until Sept/Oct 16 was to use the date of
the decision, rather than the date on which the request was received.

You have also asked for equivalent information for the full service caseload.
We do not have an internal performance indicator for this area of work in UC
full service.

Should you wish to narrow your request to specify the data you require for full
service, we will consider afresh any revised request. However we cannot
guarantee that any revised request will fall within the appropriate cost limit.

I am content that your original request was dealt with in accordance with DWP
guidelines for FoI requests.

I hope this is helpful but if you have any queries about this letter please
contact me quoting the reference number above.

If you have any queries about this letter please contact me quoting the
reference number above.

Yours sincerely,
