Maternity, adoption and shared parental leave policies

The request was successful.

Dear Qualifications Wales,

Can you please provide me with copies of your maternity, adoption and shared parental leave policies for employees. Please include information on pay for these schemes – do you offer enhanced pay above the statutory minimum for your employees who take maternity, adoption and shared parental leave?

Can you also tell me since April 2015 how many employees have requested/taken Shared Parental Leave within your organisation. This includes those who have requested but are yet to take the period of leave.

Yours faithfully,

D Jones

Dear D Jones,

Re: Freedom of Information request (Ref no: FOI00004HR)

Further to your request for information dated 27th July, we are writing to
inform you that we are unable to comply with your request for the
following reason:

The information you require is not held by Qualifications Wales.

Qualifications Wales was established in August 2015. As a relatively new
organisation we are currently in the process of drafting and consulting on
our HR policies. Our proposed policies for maternity, adoption and shared
parental leave are all in draft format and are currently with our
recognised Trade Union for consultation, after which they will be
re-considered by management. The content has not been agreed or shared
with staff.

As we do not have final policies we cannot provide you with the
information you have requested at this time. However, we can confirm that
that our proposal is to offer above the statutory minimum for pay.

Qualifications Wales was formed in August 2015 and since this date we have
received one request for shared parental leave, which has been agreed.

If you are dissatisfied with how we have dealt with your request for
information, please write to:
