Future plans for CCTV Control Room Cheshire Lines

The request was successful.

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
In light of draft Job descriptions for new posts within the council's control room being posted on Wirral Leaks can you please inform me what are the future plans for the control room and if approved are these new posts to be advertised?

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Edwards

Thank you for your recent request made under the Freedom of Information
Act. Please find Wirral Borough Council’s response below.

The job descriptions you refer to were issued as a result of the
perspective budgetary saving proposals, which are currently out for
consultation.

If the proposals are taken forward once this consultation is concluded
then any posts that are vacant will be filled in line with the Council’s
recruitment procedure; initially considering for staff on the Council’s
redeployment list, then advertised internally within the Council before
ultimately being advertised externally if required.

Moving forward. the Council’s future plans are to maintain a 24/7 single
point of contact control room.

Yours sincerely,

Andy Henderson
