Minutes of DPTAC meetings
Dear Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee,
Please provide me with the minutes of meetings of the Disabled Persons Advisory Committee on Transport for the last three years.
In addition, might I suggest that DPTAC publish these in future? Your website, http://dptac.independent.gov.uk/, now sadly defunct, might be a good place to share what you are discussing; clearly issues of interest to many disabled transport users; and one way of being transparent, accountable, and in touch with the concerns of the wider disabled community.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Lianna
Dear Lianna,
Thank you for your request. I have attached the minutes for the last three years of meetings of DPTAC. You will see that many of the sets of minutes say when the subsequent meetings were planned to take place and that there are not always minutes for those dates. That is because it was necessary to cancel a few meetings so this is the full set of notes for meetings that actually took place.
Please note that much of the DPTAC meeting in July 2015 was a working discussion (an internal workshop) on the future structure of DPTAC so the formal note is very short as only one substantive agenda item on the Buses Bill was discussed. And all of the meeting in September this year was as a workshop on the (proposed) new group based structure of DPTAC and no formal note/minutes have yet been prepared.
I note your suggestion that we publish the minutes of the meetings in future. That is something we want to do in the future and we are considering how best to do so.
If you have any further questions please do contact me either via What Do They Know or direct at the DPTAC enquiry address. If you spot that there are references to other documents that I have not attached please let me know, it may be that we don't actually hold the documents but I will see if I can locate them for you.
Best wishes, Phil

Dear Phil,
Many thanks for these and your prompt response. I welcome your comment that DPTAC is considering how to publish minutes of meetings in future, and believe this will be welcomed by many disabled transport users.
In your previous note here www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/minutes_o..., you mention that there are some PowerPoint presentations from DPTAC meetings. However, they do not seem to be included here? Please could you share them below?
Best wishes
Lianna
Dear Lianna,
I'm sorry, I'd put them aside to send separately and forgot. There were not actually than many, please see the attached powerpoint presentations and a pdf of an article that was sent to the members.
It is possible that I have missed out some documents so if you spot anything referred to in the minutes that I have not sent on please let me know and I will have another look,
Best wishes, Phil
