Re: Your request for information: 554409
Thank you for your request for information that was received on 23 August in which you
requested:
(a) addresses of empty residential properties that are within the borough
(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in
If the council can only release information on "non-individually owned property" I
would like that.
If the council will not release this information, I would like the names of all "non
individuals" (business, charities, trusts etc), but excluding housing associations
and the council, that own long term empty property in the borough, without
addresses.
Unfortunately, we cannot identify the information you have requested from the details
you have provided.
We do not necessarily hold information on the ownership of a property in all cases.
However, we could provide details about the current liable party for council tax. Would
you accept this information?
Also please can you clarify what you mean by "long term empty". Does the property
have to have been unoccupied for minimum period before being defined as 'long term
empty' e.g. only properties unoccupied for a year or more would be considered to be
'long term empty'?
Upon clarification, we will process your request and send a response within 20 working
days.
Please note we will close the request if we do not receive the information within 60 days
of this letter.
If the information you requested contains a reference to a third party then they may be
consulted before a decision is taken on whether or not to release the information to you.
You will be informed if this is the case.
The Act defines a number of exemptions that may restrict the release of the requested
