The Passenger Transport Unit of Lincolnshire County Council maintains an
"Approved Operators List". This list is open to all operators, however
they must fulfil set criteria in order to remain on the list (such as DBS
checked staff, Valid Insurance, District Licence or Operators Licence
etc). There are currently 334 companies on our Approved List.  This list
is used for all our transport contracts (SEN, Home to School\College,
Social Care and Local Bus).  All tender contracts are advertised on OJEU.

We also operate a framework for Solutions 4 transport (Centres that
provide full-time education for 14-16 year olds who have been permanently
excluded from school) and & EBSS (Emotional & Behavioural Support Service)
Teaching and Learning Centres (previously called Pupil Referral Units
which can accommodate both primary and secondary aged pupils for short
term placements).

This was advertised via OJEU and any operator wishing to take part must
have met the standards to become an Approved Operator.

 

2)         If the Local Authority does operate a supplier framework, when

The framework expires in July 2015.

Solutions 4 & EBBS Framework.

The Council operates a Demand Response Services (CallConnect) with a
mixture of vehicles purchased by the authority or the transport company. 
The service is operated by commercial operators under contract. On a
limited number of occasions this service has been used to transport pupils
to school\college and for Adult Care passengers.  It has not been used for
SEN transport.

 

5)         If so, please can you provide with the size of the fleet.

d.    Adult Social Care – approximately £1,212,217.08
