Traffic count

The request was successful.

Dear Scottish Government,

What is the number of vehicles crossing the Clackmannanshire bridge (A876) heading north and how many of these vehicles are joining the A977 at Gartarry roundabout

Yours faithfully,

Sir,

I refer to your request dated 30 March.

Scottish Roads Traffic Database (SRTDb) operates, on behalf of Traffic
Scotland (TS), a number of automatic traffic counter sites located,
predominantly but not exclusively, on Scottish Trunk Roads. TS is
responsible for Trunk Roads in Scotland.

The attached file “Site_Locations” shows our sites that are located in
your area of interest. This includes Ordnance Survey Grid References
(“east” and “north” fields) so these sites can be plotted if need be. File
“Map” is a map representation of these points.

As two of the roads leading into the roundabout – the unclassified road at
Meadowend and the A907 to the east of the roundabout are non-trunk we have
no traffic monitoring equipment. These routes may be covered by the
relevant local authority. While the A907 to the west of the roundabout is
also non trunk we do have one counter at this location.

I also attach files that include, for each of these counting sites, all
available traffic data since January 2012. The data is in two formats.
Hourly By Day shows all available hourly data by direction by vehicle
type. Daily Average By Month shows, for the same period, daily average
flows by direction by vehicle type – this report shows both 5 day
(Mon-Fri) and 7 day (Mon-Sun) averages.

I trust that this data will be of use.
However, if you have any queries or require more data please do not
hesitate to contact me.

Regards,
