Emergency Vehicle Sirens

The request was successful.

Dear Hackney Borough Council,

I live near Kingsland Road, in the vicinity of Hagggerston Station. I am concerned by the frequency and audibility of sirens of emergency vehicles passing up and down the Kingsland Road. I am particularly concerned by frequent use of such sirens in the early hours of the morning.

(i) I would be grateful if you would please provide a copy of Hackney Borough Council's policy/position/procedure (if they exist) regarding police, ambulance and other emergency vehicles' use of sirens generally, and specifically their use between the hours of 23:00-07:00.

(ii) Please could you state how many complaints have been received by Hackney Borough Council regarding the use of police, ambulance and other vehicle sirens at night time/early morning times of the day within the last
2 years.

(iii) How many of these complaints were made
from addresses/residents within 250 metres either side of Kingsland Road?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Mr P. McMahon
