Francis report

Dear Scottish Government,

The first report of the Francis inquiry was laid before the House of Commons on 24 February 2010 as HC375.

Please provide information about work done to assess the implications of that Francis report for NHSScotland.

This will include memoranda, annotated copies of the report, policy papers, minutes, corrsspondence and emails.

Providing this information will be helpful in understanding the Government's approach to improving patient safety by looking at other work, especially with the Public Inquiry report due soon.

I am getting in touch regarding your FoI request of 31 December 2012 due
for answer on 31 January 2013, (Our ref: FoI/13/01988) asking for
information about the SG response to the Francis Inquiry.

I am confident I will be able to issue the answer before the deadline,
however it is possible that there will be a large number of documents
including a number of PDFs, and as such I wanted to confirm how you would
wish to receive these.

I am happy to e-mail these to you, although I will need to break them into
several e-mails, and depending on your own e-mail settings it may fill
your inbox. I would also be happy to print the relevant documents and
issue them by post, if you would like to give me an address to issue them
to. If required I can destroy your address details once I have received
confirmation from you that the documents have been received.

under the terms of your request.
