Thank you for your recent request, which was received on 19th June 2009 requesting the 
following: 
 

Please say how many families have been forced to flee abroad due to their concerns 
about their childrens care in the 'care system' 

 

How many parents and relatives have been labelled with personality disorders after 
having psychological/psychiatric assessments in order to get their children returned to 
their care. 

 
      

Please supply these figures on a yearly basis. 
 
Cafcass does not collect or hold this information. I am also not aware of any organisation that 
holds this information. 
 
If you are unhappy with the decisions made in relation to your request, you may ask for an 
internal review to be undertaken.  If you are dissatisfied with the way the internal review is 
handled or with the final decision made at that review about the information released, you are
