Thank you for your Freedom of Information request for information in relation to Tier 4 sponsor. Please accept my
apologies for the delay in responding, but I have just taken over the role as Information Assurance Officer at City
University.
1) How many CAS's were assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) between 5th July 2011 and 30th
September 2011?
2) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th
September 2011, how many were USED?
3) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th
September 2011, whose CAS status is USED, how many students failed to Enroll at the University with their stipulated
enrolment period?
4) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 5th July 2011 and 30th
September 2011, whose CAS status is USED but failed to Enroll at the University within their stipulated enrolment
period, how many were Reported to the UKBA?
5) Of the total number of students as requested in (Question 4), how many failed to enroll because they were refused?
6) How many CAS's were assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st January
2012?
7) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st
January 2012, how many were USED?
8) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category) to students between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st
January 2012, whose CAS status is USED, how many students failed to Enroll at the University with their stipulated
enrolment period?
9) Of the CAS's assigned (Under the Tier 4 General Visa Category)to students between 1st Oct 2011 and 31st
January 2012, whose CAS status is USED but failed to Enroll at the University within their stipulated enrolment period,
how many were Reported to the UKBA?
10) Of the total number of students as requested in (Question 9), how many failed to enroll because they were
refused?
I can confirm that we do not hold the information to answer questions 4, 5, 9 and 10. I suggest that the UK Border
Agency (UKBA) may be better placed to provide the answers you require to these questions. As it is likely that the
UKBA will also be able to answer the other questions, you may wish to submit the whole request to the UKBA. I have
