Network Rail has been subject to the Freedom of Information Act since Tuesday 24 March 2015. ^[1]
Responses received to requests prior to that date may carry a right to complain to the Information Commissioner if they relate to Environmental Information but not otherwise.

Looking for announcements?

We've noticed a number of our users contact Network Rail to request a copy of the announcements played at their stations. Many of these have already been released, and can be downloaded from these requests.

Many of the announcements from a number of train operating companies on the National Rail network have also been released, and can be found elsewhere on our website.
Please only make a new request if you cannot find what you need, and note that, as Network Rail do not operate passenger trains, they are very unlikely to hold on-train announcements. You could, however, ask the relevant operator for them.

We have previously included the company on our site for some time, before it became subject to the Act, on the grounds that it is effectively a public body and it controls significant national infrastructure.

This entry can also be used to make requests to Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Ltd
