Department of Health and Social Care
A ministerial department, a elwir hefyd yn DHSC
Known as the the Department of Health (DH) until January 2018.
The department is responsible for health and social care in England.[1] The Department provides strategic leadership to the NHS and social care organisations in England.[2]FOI requests relating to Connecting for Health, the national programme for NHS information technology, including summary care records, can be made to the Department of Health and Social Care. Connecting for Health is a directorate of the Department of Health and Social Care. Requests to the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) can also be made via the Department for Health and Social Care.
The department hosts the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Modelling (SPI-M) and the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (NERVTAG). The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities* is part of Department of Health and Social Care.
Our understanding is the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is part of the Department of Health and Social Care, and in any case NIHR advises: "The NIHR is subject to the Freedom of Information (FOI) arrangements of the DHSC"* so requests for information held by NIHR can be made via the DHSC.Yn aros am gael ei ddosbarthu.
